This has been weighing on my heart for awhile. A month ago I saw a video that brought to my awareness some of the many layers around child abuse and trafficking. It resonated as true to me and confirmed information I had heard in other places. It also left me with an overwhelming feeling that I had to help these children and women. I didn't know what to do and was unsure of what organizations to work with as I've heard that some are corrupt and support the very systems of abuse and trafficking we need to eradicate. I knew I was being pulled to serve but unsure of what to do next, I did what I always do - I prayed about it. "Thank you, God, for showing me the next step and how to serve." Over and over. And I waited. I don't like the waiting part and especially in this situation where I felt called to take action ASAP.
Well my prayer was answered this week when an organization, Ally Global, practically fell into my lap - inbox to be exact. They are focused on providing education and safe homes to survivors of abuse and trafficking in Nepal, Cambodia, and Laos.
Starting now, 25% of the cost from ALL of my coaching sessions will go to organizations that support the healing of survivors. For now, that means Ally Global Foundation. In the future, I ultimately want to include organizations that rescue women and children who have been taken or are enslaved and those that seek to remove the structures that support this evil. I have others I'm looking into and pray for more to come onto my path.
Hearing what I've heard, I can no longer sit by and do nothing.
Please join me. Donate yourself. Or when you help yourself by buying a coaching session from me, know that you'll also be supporting the healing of survivors by providing them with safe homes and education.
Links to the video by John Paul Rice that I'm talking about is below. I HIGHLY recommend watching it for yourself. He also created a document with the list of interviews and resources he mentions. If you want that, let me know and I'll send it to you.
If you have any resources to share or organizations that seem aligned with this, please share them.
I don't have all the answers but my heart says this is a place to start. Will you join me?

Warning, this video may be upsetting. I still highly recommend taking the time to watch it.
